Bobby Watson All-Star Big Band to headline Prairie Village Jazz Festival

The Prairie Village Jazz Festival Committee has finalized the lineup for this year’s event, the fourth annual, slated for Sept. 7 at Harmon Park.

UMKC jazz professor and saxophone virtuoso Bobby Watson and his All-Star Big Band are this year’s headliners, and will be featuring an appearance by nationally known trumpeter Jon Faddis.

Here’s a look at the lineup:

Andy McGhie Quintet: 3-3:50 p.m.
Parallax: 4:10-5 p.m.
Mutual Musicians Foundation All-Stars: 5:20-6:10 p.m.
Everett DeVan-Chris Hazelton Quartet: 6:30-7:20 p.m.
Marilyn Maye: 7:40-8:40 p.m.
Bobby Watson All-Star Big Band with special guest Jon Faddis: 9-10:30 p.m.
