Citing need for more senior housing, Tutera makes case for Mission Chateau in letter to Planning Commission

Mission Valley site owner Joe Tutera pressed his case for the Prairie Village Planning Commission to approve his company’s proposed Mission Chateau senior living community in a memo and series of slides delivered to the commissioners last week.

The documents contained information that Tutera said would have been presented during a planned presentation before the commission earlier this month, but which Tutera and his attorney John Petersen decided not to deliver in an effort to have more time to hear questions from the commissioners.

Among the arguments Tutera sets forth is that “the demand is very deep, and the lack of supply is astonishing. The need is clear and analysis supports the conclusion that many Prairie Village seniors leave the city for their senior housing needs.” See the full documents below:
