Renovation complete, Hen House cuts ribbon on refreshed Corinth market

Dozens of local residents, city officials and business leaders braved the first truly hot morning of the summer Wednesday to recognize the official opening of the fully renovated Hen House market at Corinth Square.

In an 8 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony, Ball’s Food Stores executives thanked the community — and their staff — for their patience during the extensive construction process, during which the store remained open.

The eight-month renovation project included a complete reconfiguration of the store and a minor expansion. The more open space now features wider aisles and vaulted ceilings. The market also now has a Roasterie Cafe on site, as well as a specialty cheese counter which offers more than 300 varieties.

Longtime courtesy clerk Frank Bardwell was on hand for the event, greeting attendees including Roasterie Coffee “Bean Baron” Danny O’Neill (left).
