SM East students among cast of Theatre in the Park opener ‘Children of Eden’

Four SM East students are lending their talents to the opening show of Theatre in the Park’s 2013 season.

Twins Justin and Alec Armer and younger brother Tyler are among the performers in “Children of Eden,” which closed its opening weekend of shows Sunday. The musical will return to Shawnee Mission Park this weekend for performances June 13-15.

SM East student Emmy Hadley is in the cast as well.

The Armer twins shared the Outstanding Actor in a Featured Role award as this year’s Blue Star Awards, honoring the best performances by local high school students in musical theatre. They played gangsters in “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
