Assuming Mother Nature calms down by this afternoon, it looks to be a diamond weekend for the annual Prairie Village Art Show, which kicks off tonight at 5 p.m. at The Village Shops.
The latest forecasts call for isolated showers throughout the day, with the chances of storms at around 30 percent this evening. But predictions call for perfect temperatures and just a slight chance for showers Saturday and Sunday.
This year’s show will feature the works of 105 artists from across the country, including Mary DiStefano-Jarowitz, who designed the art for this year’s promotional poster.
Of course, art isn’t the only draw to the event. There’s also the fantastic food offerings, which local blogger Kevin Marsh has done an excellent job summing up in “The Art of Eating (and Drinking) at the PV Art Fair.”
Our eyes and stomachs are ready. We just need Mother Nature to work with us here.
