Creativity, community at center of ‘Art Event at KCC’

The Kansas City Christian community gathered this weekend for a celebration of creativity.

The school’s second annual “Art Event at KCC” showcased more than 30 artists, displaying ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, paintings and mixed-media pieces.

A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited the school and the City Union Mission.

This year’s festivities kicked off with a “Patron’s Party” Friday that featured food from Brio and gave attendees an early look at the art available for sale:

Patrons party attendees got a head start on shopping for art.
The Mikey Needleman Band provided the soundtrack to Friday night’s fun.
More than 30 artists showed their work…
…and that’s not including the very fun display of art by KCC students!
