
The Westwood Foundation has announced its 2013 scholarship winners, one for undergraduate college work and one for post-graduate education.
Caitlin Beatty won the Merit Scholarship which provides $1,000 per year for undergraduate study. She plans to major in nursing at the University of Nebraska.
The award for vocational or post-graduate study went to Crystal Hester. Hester is a nurse at The University of Kansas Hospital and plans to become a nurse practitioner.

The post-graduate study provides $1,000 per year for two years.
The Westwood Foundation was established as a non-profit in 1974 to benefit the citizens of Westwood. The scholarship program was established in 1988 and more than 23 scholarships have been awarded.
