Earth provides perfect environment for Prairie Village Earth Fair

Mother Earth gave everyone a day on Saturday that served as a powerful reminder of why Prairie Village puts together an event in her honor each year.

Perfect spring weather drew a steady stream of patrons to the 13th Prairie Village Earth Fair at SM East, where earthophiles young and old strolled aisles of displays in the main gym, watched musical performances from local schoolchildren in the auxiliary gym, looked for a good read at the used book sale, and took a close look at some of nature’s wonders in the animal display.

The event also featured a collection of earth-friendly autos, including the beautiful Tesla sedan:

Someday, young man. Someday.
Young attendees got to express their creative energies at the art station.
This year, SM East students organized a used book sale in conjunction with the Earth Fair.

Caterers from Coffee Cake KC did a brisk business in the lovely spring weather.
