New administration staffer starts at Prairie Village city hall

Prairie Village didn’t have to look far to fill the Assistant to the City Administrator position left open by the departure of Chris Engel, who took a job with the city of Merriam.

Danielle Dulin

Danielle Dulin is a Prairie Village resident who had been working as the Deputy City Clerk in Mission Hills before accepting the role with PV last month.

Dulin received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University before enrolling in the University of Kansas’s MPA program. She graduated from KU in 2011 and started working at Mission Hills as a full time intern. She grew up on a farm about 30 miles away from Dodge City.

In her time with Mission Hills, Dulin worked closely on Planning Commission and Architectural Review Board issues, as well as the committee exploring the possibility of a trails project in the city. With Prairie Village, she’ll be primarily responsible for overseeing the city’s pool operations and staffing the Parks and Recreation committee meetings.

“Not everyone gets the chance to both live and work in the same community,” she said of her new job, “so I’m very excited to be starting this job.”
