Gang: I’ve just been a’lookin’ at the weather forecast for this weekend. And you know what it says? Well, I’ll tell ‘ya: We’re going to have some gardening weather on our hands Saturday.
And if you’re like me and eager to get some seeds in the ground after the dismal March weather we had to endure, you might want to take advantage of a generous offer from the good people at the city of Prairie Village and Deffenbaugh: Free compost.
Deffenbaugh will be bringing a truckload of the stuff to Santa Fe Park parking lot (next to the water tower off Delmar) at 8 a.m. Saturday. You’ll need to bring proof of Prairie Village residency (sorry, fellow NEJCers) and bring your own compost container.
City staff warn that “quantities are limited so arrive early.”
The city will also be hosting a composting workshop at 9 a.m. in the Santa Fe Pavilion.
See ‘ya there, dirtmongers.
