More than 1.7 million students take the SAT each year.
Less than one-tenth of one percent of those students achieve the coveted perfect score of 2400.
SM East junior Ada Throckmorton is one of those students.
The Shawnee Mission School District announced Wednesday that Throckmorton had joined the elite club after using her PSAT results to help her buff up on weak areas.
“Ada said she also attributes her success to having quality teachers,” said the district’s release.
Throckmorton is involved and debate and forensics as well as the school’s environmental club. She said she wants to major in environmental science or engineering in college.
