Mission Valley-site senior living community meeting rescheduled

A recent rendering of the proposed Mission Chateau senior living community that the Tutera Group would like to build on the Mission Valley Middle School site.

We’ve got two updates to pass along regarding the Mission Valley-site senior living community proposal:

  • The community meeting originally scheduled for the week of Feb. 18 and then rescheduled for this past Wednesday has again (and, hopefully, finally) been rescheduled for next Tuesday, March 5. It will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the SM East gymnasium. John Petersen, the attorney representing the Tutera Group, said the group will present revised drawings of its Mission Chateau proposal at the meeting, and then submit them to the city.
  • As a result of the postponed community meetings, the city and Tutera have canceled the Planning Commission Work Session on the project that had been originally planned for March 5. “John Peterson, spokesperson for the developer, has also indicated that a formal submission of the proposed project will not be ready by the March 1 deadline for consideration of a public hearing at the April 2nd Planning Commission Meeting,” says the city’s project update page. “The City will provide an update of the schedule for a future work session and the tentative date of the public hearing on the proposed project as soon as it is available.”
