2010 SM East graduate Janna Graf attracted some nice national attention earlier this month for her play on the Yale University basketball team.
Graf earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors the first week of December after two standout performances against Fordham and St. Francis Brooklyn. In those games she shot 10-for-19 from the field and 7-for-12 from beyond the arc. Against Fordham, she scored 18 points, had six rebounds, and accounted for five of the team’s six steals, helping propel the Bulldogs to a 67-53 win. Yale hadn’t beaten Fordham since 1986.
The honor marked the third time in Graf’s career she has earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors.
