Prairie Village police release video of robbery attempt at Indian Hills Country Club

Share this story:

Prairie Village police on Thursday released surveillance video showing the vehicle that delivered the two men who tried to rob a DJ as he was leaving Indian Hill Country Club on Saturday.

The video shows the vehicle, which appears to be a silver Honda CRV, entering the frame at 27 seconds. It quickly disappears, then reappears on the right side of the frame at 41 seconds. The vehicle stops at 45 seconds, and two men — one is a black top and the other in a light top — exit, running toward the clubhouse. They are only out of frame for ten seconds before the video shows them sprinting back to the vehicle, which speeds away. See the video below:

Here’s the description of the vehicle and suspects from the police department’s press release:

The tag on the vehicle was possibly a Kansas tag. A partial tag number was given including the letter “A” and possibly two of the numbers were “9”.

The armed suspect is described as a young black male, 18-20 years old. He was wearing a black cloth over his face and nose and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. There was no description of the second suspect that got out of the car other than that of a young black male. There is a third black male suspect believed to be driving the getaway vehicle and no description was given of that person, either.

If you have any information about the crime, please contact the Prairie Village Police Department at 913-642-6868 or call the TIPS hotline.
