Drunken driver loses control, hits brick wall off Mission in Prairie Village

An intoxicated man lost control of his car Tuesday evening, swerving over a curb heading southbound on Mission Road and running into a brick wall just north of the Corinth Library.

Police responded to the scene of the single car accident around 5:30 p.m. and found the man had sustained a small cut on his forehead. He refused to take all tests, and was transported to Shawnee Mission Medical Center for treatment. The man has more than one prior felony conviction for driving under the influence, and is presently under bond supervision for a felony DUI in Prairie Village. He has a hearing related to a prior conviction scheduled for today.
