St. Ann carnival raises funds for 8th grade gift

Chances are it was harder than normal for St. Ann’s kids to sit through church on Sunday. Because a perfect September afternoon for the school’s carnival awaited.

St. Ann’s families packed the school’s gym and parking lot for the annual event, which raises funds for the Parent Teacher Organization. In recent history, the 8th grade class has organized the event, and used some of the proceeds to purchase a class gift for the school.

“They haven’t figured out what the gift will be yet,” said organizer Rachel Redmond. “They’re still pondering.”
