Adam Stern of architect Gould Evans presented the Shawnee Mission School Board on Monday with final drawings of the renovations and additions scheduled to begin at Indian Hills Middle School in the coming months.
Gould Evans has planned the renovations out in four sequences, the first of which is scheduled to begin in October. Work on the new library, administration area and multipurpose room are expected to be part of the first phase. Other phases will follow over the course of the coming two years.
The renovations will add a total of 49 teaching stations to the building, which will take on more students starting this year after the closure of Mission Valley.
