Prairie Village psychotherapist gets 32 months on marijuana charges

The Kansas City Star reports that Thomas Scott, the Prairie Village man accused of selling marijuana to former psychotherapy patients, has been sentenced to 32 months in prison.

Scott pleaded guilty to nine drug-related charges, and the sentence came as part of a plea deal. He will also surrender his psychotherapy license. Scott had practiced for more than 25 years in Kansas City, Mo.

Johnson County law enforcement officials moved forward with the arrest and prosecution of Scott after a former patient revealed he had sold more $1,600 worth of high-quality marijuana to the patient on two occassions.
