FBI releases photos of Prairie Village bank robber

Share this story:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released photos from a security camera showing the man who robbed the Great Southern Bank at 5206 W. 95th St. Tuesday.

Prairie Village police chief Wes Jordan told the city council last night the robber had given the teller a “subtle hint” that he was carrying a firearm. Law enforcement officials believe the man fled to a car waiting in a lot north of the bank.

Tuesday’s incident was not the first time a bank at that location has been robbed.

Anyone with information regarding this crime should contact the Prairie Village Police Department at 913-642-5151, or the TIPS Hotline, 816-474-8477.
