What to do in northeast JoCo this weekend

Three words: GO LANCERS GO!

Friday, November 5

  • The Lancers make their 2010 playoff debut against 6-3 Olathe South. Robby Moriarty, Adam Lowe, and the rest of the Lancers squad probably wouldn’t mind having, like, a ton of people there cheering them on. So head out to SM North Stadium for the 7 p.m. kick off.

Halloween? Done. Which means it’s officially time to start thinking about Christmas. (Thanksgiving is kind of a pleasant sideshow, if you ask me). So if you’re looking for an early dose of holiday cheer, swing by the Village Shops for a Holiday Open House from 10-5 p.m. If you spend $50, you get a free gift. Click on the thumbnail to the right for more information.

  • Since you’ll probably be on a major SM East high after watching the Lancers destroy the Olathe South Falcons on Friday, you may be tempted to head out to the “Feast for East: Lancer Blues and BBQ” fundraising event for The East Fund. It’s an adult social and silent auction, featuring a BBQ meal…and a signature drink called Lancer Blue Brew. Tickets are $35. The event runs from 6:30-10 p.m. at Milburn Country Club, 7501 West 69th Street.
