Residents of 70th Street east of Roe Avenue were surprised last night to find emergency crews attending to a flipped over vehicle. Police Chief Wes Jordan said the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. Monday, was caused by inattentive driving. No one was seriously injured, though the car did hit a parked vehicle. We’ll post more details and pictures if/when we get them.
Update: Capt. Tim Schwarzkopf of the Prairie Village police department said the driver of the vehicle in Monday night’s rollover accident admitted to looking at her cell phone while driving. She struck another vehicle and then swerved, causing her car to flip. The driver sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. Alcohol was not involved.
