The family of Brian Euston, the 24-year-old Rockhurst graduate who died after being found with a serious head injury in Westport two weeks ago, have made statements to local press this week suggesting they are still waiting for answers from Kansas City police about whether the death was accidental or the result of a beating.
Brian EustonKathy Euston, Brian’s mother, told KCTV 5 yesterday that she hoped someone would come forward with information about what happened.
“We just want answers,” she said. “Someone saw something. We want answers, peace and justice.”
Earlier in the week, Kathy told KMBC that the family had “heard all kinds of stories, but let’s find out what happened and not be too quick to call it accidental.”
Police say it could be weeks before the autopsy report on the death is finalized and released. Though police say they’ve received a number of calls with tips on the case, they still don’t have a clear picture of what happened. Anyone with information about Euston’s death should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
