Shawnee Mission School District superintendent Gene Johnson will announce the district’s plans for redistricting and closing schools at the school board meeting tonight, to be held at 7 p.m. at Shawnee Mission West.

Members of the Indian Hills PTA sent out an email to area parents last week urging them to attend the meeting, saying they felt there was a good chance that Indian Hills may be one of the schools selected for closure.

The board is expected to hold public forums on the proposed plans before they come up for a vote, likely at the Novemeber 7 board meeting.
