Neighbors’ concerns over light display lead to talk of Christmas in September

Prairie Village resident Mike Babick’s annual Christmas lights display draws literally thousands of visitors down Falmouth Street every holiday season. And while it makes for plenty of warm memories, the crowds who flock to see the display cause plenty of disruption to Babick’s neighbors, who haven’t been afraid to call this city complaining of traffic and parking violations.

With the holiday season just a couple of months away, the Prairie Village Police Department has moved to host a meeting for Falmouth Street residents to voice their concerns about the display, and suggest possible solutions to the issues caused by the crowds. Per the Police Department’s suggestion, Babick will not attend.
