PVPD represents at Law Enforcement Games benefiting Special Olympics

It was hot on Saturday, if you didn’t notice.

But that didn’t stop the Prairie Village Police Department from going all out in the Johnson County Law Enforcement Summer Games, a fundraising event for the Special Olympics.

Officers from the Leawood, Lenexa, Fairway, Merriam, Olathe, Overland Park, Prarie Village, Shawnee and Spring Hill departments participated in a range of events at the Olathe District Activity Center, including a 1600 meter run, the bench press, and a tug of war.

The PV team is seen below preparing for, and then finishing off, Lenexa in the first round of the tug of war competition.
