Construction begins to replace decorative sidewalks on Mission

Share this story:

Construction crews have closed one lane of traffic at the intersection of 75th Street and Mission Road as they remove the decorative sidewalk the city installed a few years ago only to have it crumble time and again. The city went into litigation with the contractor who originally installed the sidewalk.

City staff say their goal is to have the sidewalk at 75th and Mission completed before classes at Shawnee Mission East begin on August 16.
