Mindy Howard, 44, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on November 30, 2016 after an acute battle with cancer.

Mindy grew up in Mankato, Kansas. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Marilyn Lynch of Mankato. She studied education at Kansas State University, going on to obtain her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. She dedicated her career to helping infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers with special needs to get the help and services they deserve, first with Infant-Toddler Services of Johnson County and later with Shawnee Mission School District.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her sons William (14) and Alexander (11), understanding their unique characteristics while also pushing them to achieve. She loved her husband Brad of 17 years beyond measure and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held at Unity Temple on the Plaza at 3 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.CremationCenterKC.com
