Two northeast Johnson County students completed internships in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S, Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas.
Austin Myer, from Prairie Village, and Sydney Reed, of Leawood, were among the four Johnson County students to complete internships.
Meyer graduated from Rockhurst High School in 2014. He is a junior at Brown University, where he intends to concentrate in ancient Greek and politics. He also a research assistant at the Watson Institute for International Affairs. He will study classics and politics next year at St. Anne’s College (Oxford).
Reed graduated from The Barstow School in 2014 and is a junior at The University of Richmond, where she intends to double major in political science and international studies, and minor in Arabic. Next semester she will spend a semester abroad at The University of Edinburgh.
