Leawood resident Phil Buttell named 2016 NextGen Leader. Centerpoint Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Phil Buttell of Leawood, an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a member of Indian Hills Country Club, has been named a Kansas City Business Journal 2016 NextGen Leader. School board approves purchase of new baby grand pianos for SM East, SM North. The Shawnee Mission School Board on Monday approved the purchase of new baby grand pianos for SM East and SM North. The two pianos together cost a total of $63,768. The board also approved the purchase of $52,137.83 worth of band instruments to be used throughout the district.
