Registration now open for Roeland Park kids soccer clinic to benefit R Park

SoccRegistration is now open for a June 25 soccer clinic for children ages 5 to 9 which is being sponsored by the Citizens Fundraising Initiative for R Park.

The clinic will be held in R Park at 5535 Juniper in Roeland Park. The clinic is a fundraising event for a drinking fountain in R Park.

The clinic will start at 9 a.m. for ages 5-6 and at 11:30 a.m. for ages 7-9. Soccer instructors will help direct key soccer skills for each age group such as shooting, dribbling and defensive drills. The raindate is Sunday, June 26, with the raindate soccer clinic starting at noon for ages 5-6 and at 2:30 p.m. for ages 7-9. Women’s pro soccer players may be at the clinic and $50 worth of complimentary gifts will be give to each registrant, including a soccer ball, a duffel bag with a soccer key chain, snacks and bottled water.

Space for the clinic is limited. Pre-registration is $35 until May 20 and $40 after that date if space is still available. No refunds will be given.The clinic is being presented by i9Sports of Johnson County.
