I was on the trail with the boys on a bike ride. We were following along Tomahawk Creek and I noticed a flurry of white & gray fur up in the trees. The hawk’s hind quarters are really very fluffy. Anyway it had caught a squirrel, and we saw it carry the squirrel in it’s talons underneath the road overpass, and then another walking couple found it again a few minutes later on the trail. It was happy in the tree and stayed awhile. We got several more photos and saw it eat the squirrel.
If you catch any shots of cool wildlife in the area, we’d love to see it. Send pictures and descriptions to email@example.com
