Dozens of accomplished artists will display their works at the Prairie Village Art Show this weekend. But for the artists represented in one of the booths, the chance to create and sell their works is a truly a special experience.
The Johnson County Developmental Supports Emerging Artists Program — which launched full time last fall — provides and opportunity for developmentally disabled JoCo residents to build artistic skills, improve communication and build self esteem. And this year, the program will have its own booth at the fair where participants will be selling their creations.
