Just a reminder to lock those doors, folks…
Prairie Village police have filed reports on 10 attempted or completed burglaries in January, including an incident Monday in the 4600 block of 72nd Street.
Capt. Wes Lovett said a burglar or burglars entered the home through an unlocked door between 4 and 6 p.m. They took an iPad, iPod, laptop and some jewelry.
Burglars only made entry and actually stole something in five of the ten incidents recorded thus far.
Lovett said the recent string of incidents has been difficult to link.
“They’re coming in more like one a week or every five days, so it’s harder to tell if they’re related,” he said.
