Allegro con Brio — a select group of KC-area high school singers — inside the White House.

Kim Stout of the Allegro con Brio choir group that made a trip to Washington D.C. in December sent along some photos of the girls’ trip to the White House, where they sang in the East Wing and got to meet the President and First Lady. The group included two SM East students, junior Elena Wicstrom and sophomore Abby Cramer. Here’s Stout’s summary of the trip:

Attached are a few photos, one of which was taken just outside the White House gate before we entered security to sing for the evening, and another taken in the space where we sang. On Wednesday, Dec. 5th, the day after our White House performance, we met Senator Jerry Moran (KS) and sang for the Senate offices, toured the US Capitol, saw the Magna Carta, Declaration of Independence and Constitution at the National Archives, and toured the Holocaust museum.
