Shawnee Mission district invites public to legislative information session

The Shawnee Mission School District has sent out information on its first Legislative Information Session of the school year, to be held next Thursday, Nov. 29:

Shawnee Mission will welcome members of the community at 9 a.m. on Nov. 29 to McEachen Administrative Center, 7235 Antioch for its first Legislative Information Session of the 2012-13 school year.

Superintendent Gene Johnson, district lobbyist Stuart Little, and other staff members will discuss the 2013 Legislative Session and the budgetary and policy issues facing Kansas schools and the Shawnee Mission School District. Board members will be in attendance.

This session will be streamed live online at www.smsd.org and broadcast on Shawnee Mission’s Cable channels (Time Warner channel 18, SureWest channel 18, and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99).
