A 43-year-old Kansas City fixture for classic children’s clothing has a new home in Fairway.
The Little House, which started in a small, white house just off the Country Club Plaza in 1969, opened in its new home at the Fairway Shops Monday.
Owner Dee Dillon said the move gives the store some much-needed extra space. The new location features more shoes, toys and gifts than the original location.
“We needed a little more room to breath,” Dillon said.
Renovation on the new space, which is just west of the Fairway Frame Shop, near Houlihan’s, took nearly eight months.
The store features kids clothing (for girls up to size 10, for boys up to size 7), shoes, custom monogramming, toys and accessories. The new space also has a play area and space for reading books.
